چکیده

Background Testing for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is often recommended men with a potential risk of prostate cancer (PCa) before requiring advanced examination. However, the best PSA cutoff value remains controversial. Object We compared predictive performance age-specific percentile-based thresholds conventional >4 ng/mL PCa. Methods included who received measurements between 2003 and 2017 in medical center Taiwan. Logistic regression modeling was used to assess association PCa age subgroups. further applied C-statistic decision curve analysis compare that PSA. Age Specific Reference Levels of Serum Prostate-Specific Antigen, Prostate Volume and Prostate Specific Antigen Density in Healthy Iranian Men

Background: It is relevant to highlight that there is not a precise and perfect report on either 95 percentile value (upper limit of normal range) or on appropriate reference intervals for serum PSA in Iranian population. Objective: To determine age-specific reference ranges for serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentration and PSA density (PSAD) and prostate volumes in a population of he...

Association between prostate specific antigen change over time and prostate cancer recurrence risk: a joint model

Background: Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is an important biomarker to monitor patients after treated with radiation therapy (RT). The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the PSA data and prostate cancer recurrence using the joint modeling. Methods: This historical cohort study was performed on 422 prostate cancer patients. Inclusion criteria included: patients with loc...

Engineered Jurkat Cells for Targeting Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen on Prostate Cancer Cells by Nanobody-Based Chimeric Antigen Receptor

Background: Recently, modification of T cells with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) has been an attractive approach for adoptive immunotherapy of cancers. Typically, CARs contain a single-chain variable domain fragment (scFv). Most often, scfvs are derived from a monoclonal antibody of murine origin and may be a trigger for host immune system that leads to the T-cell clearance. Nanobody is a spe...

Association between rs2735839 and Serum Prostate-specific Antigen Level Regarding Risk of Prostate Cancer in Iranian Population

Background and Objective: Prostate cancer is among the five common cancers in males. It is second cancer in terms of the age-standardized rate (ASR) (ASR=16.6) in Iran. The rs2735839 G/A, an intergenic polymorphism is located on chromosome 19q13.33 at 600 base pairs of the KLK3 gene untranslatable region. This gene which codes prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is used in the screening and diagnos...
